Vintage Silver-Plated Punch Bowl Set with 10 Hanging Cups & Ladle

Vintage Silver-Plated Punch Bowl Set with 10 Hanging Cups & Ladle – 12”

An impressive vintage silver-plated punch bowl set featuring a beautifully sculptural pedestal bowl, an elaborate floral rim, and ten coordinating cups designed to hang gracefully around its edge.

The generously proportioned bowl rests on a substantial stepped pedestal base, creating an elegant silhouette reminiscent of traditional formal entertaining. Its softly scalloped rim is adorned with intricate raised floral motifs and scrolling botanical details, adding a beautiful decorative contrast to the highly polished, reflective silver-plated surface.

The accompanying cups feature graceful curved handles and matching pedestal bases. When arranged around the bowl, they create a striking display that is both functional in design and exceptionally decorative. A coordinating long-handled ladle completes the collection.

Punch bowl sets were once a centrepiece of social entertaining, particularly popular during the 19th and 20th centuries. Traditionally filled with fruit punch or other shared beverages, these elaborate serving pieces were brought out for celebrations, holiday gatherings, weddings, and formal receptions. The individual cups allowed guests to serve themselves, while the decorative bowl became a focal point of the table.

Today, this remarkable set offers a beautiful connection to the traditions of entertaining. Equally captivating as a decorative centrepiece, it can be styled on a dining table, sideboard, or bar cart, bringing a sense of old-world glamour and collected elegance to contemporary interiors.

The combination of its generous proportions, intricate floral detailing, and coordinating hanging cups makes this a particularly striking addition to a vintage silverware collection.
