Vintage Silver-Plated Miniature Serving Tray

A charming vintage silver-plated miniature tray, richly decorated with embossed floral and scrollwork detailing. The rectangular body features softly scalloped, fluted sides surrounding a smooth central panel, creating a beautiful contrast between ornate relief and polished metal.

At either end, elaborate openwork handles with scrolling foliate details give the petite piece the character of a much larger traditional serving tray. Its small scale makes it particularly lovely as a jewellery dish, ring tray, vanity catchall or decorative table accessory.

The silver plate has developed a wonderfully aged surface with patina, oxidation, darkening, spotting and areas of wear, particularly through the centre and recessed ornamentation. These signs of age have been left intact and contribute to its collected character.
