Vintage Silverplate Coffee Cup & Sussex Plate Saucer

A beautifully vintage silverplate coffee cup and saucer set with an elegant old-world feel. The decorative saucer was made in Canada by Sussex Plate and is marked “Sussex Plate – Sheffield Reproduction – B583 – Made in Canada.” It features an ornate floral and scroll pattern surrounding the centre, finished with a classic twisted-rope border.

The coordinating silverplate cup has a clean cylindrical shape with a substantial curved handle and is stamped “6802R – Hand Soldered” alongside a series of traditional-style maker’s marks. Its simple polished form pairs beautifully with the more ornate detailing of the saucer.

The “Sheffield Reproduction” marking refers to silver-plated wares produced in the tradition of historic Sheffield silverwork. Despite the name, this particular saucer was manufactured in Canada.

A beautiful vintage set for serving coffee or espresso, styling on a breakfast tray, or displaying as part of a collected silverware collection. Natural patina, surface scratches and signs of age are present throughout, adding to its vintage character.
