Vintage Pyrex France No. 435 Coquille Saint-Jacques Dishes – Set of 6

A set of six vintage Pyrex France No. 435 glass dishes, produced in France and designed in the traditional scallop shell form associated with Coquilles Saint-Jacques.

Originally made as individual oven-to-table dishes for preparing and serving the classic French scallop dish Coquilles Saint-Jacques, their heat-resistant glass construction also made them suitable for gratins, baked seafood and other individual hot or cold starters. Vintage examples of the No. 435 are approximately 13 cm across and are specifically described as suitable for oven use. (Selency)

Each dish features a moulded scallop-shell shape with pronounced ribbed detailing and the clean, understated appearance characteristic of vintage French Pyrex. While originally utilitarian cookware, the sculptural form makes the set equally suited to contemporary entertaining.

Today they can be used for seafood, appetizers, individual gratins, desserts and small side dishes, or incorporated into a coastal-inspired tablescape.
