Beautiful set of six antique miniature porcelain dishes by Noritake, dating to approximately the 1920s–1930s. Each piece features a delicate hand-painted landscape with water, trees and a warm sunset sky, framed by a fine black line and richly gilded rim.

The underside bears the early Noritake “M in Wreath” backstamp with “Made in Japan.” The letter M represents Morimura, the company behind early Noritake production. This style of mark was used on Japanese export porcelain during the early 20th century and is associated with what collectors now refer to as Old Noritake.

The tiny 2.5” size makes this set especially charming. Beautiful displayed together on a vanity, coffee table or in a collection of early Japanese porcelain.
